Situated in the shadow of the majestic "Mariepskop" which forms part of the Drakensberg mountains Moholoholo is a unique rehabilitation centre home to many of South Africa's abandoned, injured and poisoned wildlife. Not all animals can be released back into the wild and as a result the centre has a number of "permanent residents" that members of the public are given the opportunity to get up close and personal with on a 2.5 hour guided tour that promises to be a memorable experience.
Next stop is the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC) where a light lunch will be enjoyed. Following an introductory presentation, visitors will embark on an in-depth 2 hou tour of the centre in an Open Safari Vehicle. HESC houses a number of animal species including cheetah, African wild dog, lion, African wild cat, Ground hornbill, Sable antelope...to name just a few.
A light lunch (included) will be enjoyed at the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre.
Guests will be returned to their accommodation establishments late afternoon.
